One of my favorite Christmas songs, with a nod to Chet (and Lenny). From my "Christmas Time" CD.

Hope you enjoy

That was beautiful, Craig. One of my Christmas favorites, too.

That was nice Craig. Hearing that Del Vecchio reminds me of a guitar show I attended recently up here in Anoka MN. It's a small show in the armory. Usually nothing really interesting. I was passing by a table and, lo and behold, on the far corner was a Del Vecchio resonator. Short scale with the V cones. Big sign said, "Ask to play," so I did! Never touched one before. The intonation on this one seemed pretty good, and the instrument was overall in good shape. It looked pretty old, like maybe the 50s--but I'm not an expert on this stuff. Got to talking to the fellow. He had just put a new bisquit bridge on it the night before the show. Turns out he has a friend who scopes out yard sales regularly and brings him what he finds. Yard sale price? Five dollars . . . . Well at the show the guitar didn't have a price on it. When the owner said he did not really know much about the Del Vecchio and wasn't sure he wanted to sell it, I told him that I wouldn't sell it if it were mine. Of course I encouraged him to google Chet Atkins Del Vecchio when he got home. So, I didn't walk away with a "cheap" Del Vecchio, but it sure was a privilege to play one. Yours sounds great, Craig!
