Here's my arrangement of Ave Maria in "C". I LOVE the way Chet played it and I listened to his version quite a bit. He uses an altered tuning and plays it in "G". I wanted to try it in standard tuning and this is what I came up with.
Thanks for listening.

Hi Gary,
I liked your playing. Sounded to me like you recorded with a nylon acoustic and a mike. Pleasing natural sound. Thanks,
Art

Re: Ave Maria
Thank you Art. I did use a nylon string and mic. I'm not happy with it and am embarrassed. I can't seem to get a good sound with a mic. I'm new to working with mic's and trying to learn. I have been playing it on my Gretsch lately and like it better.

Gary, I don't know why it is but that song has always been attractive to me. I don't feel that the "catchiness" of songs is always predictable nor is it the same for every listener but this one seems to be among the favorites of many. You did a nice job!

Very soothing to listen too Gary - excellent work. I'm going to have to learn that one for sure.
