My friend, Paul White, and I did this little tune together. Paul does some fine picking here. Me on the steel string. Him on the nylon.

Wow! You could have told me that was a duet between Chet and Jerry and I would have believed it. Fantastic job!!

Thank you, Terry. I'm not Chet and Paul is not Jerry. Those two places in music history are pretty solid, however we both adore those two gentlemen and the way they played together. We have been looking for tunes that they haven't recorded together, just to make us all wonder what it would have sounded like.

Thank you, Art. I thought I replied to your post, but I guess I dreamed it. I would love to get together with Paul sometime. He is in California and I am in Oklahoma.

I appreciate your comment, Paolo.

I loved that, Richard. Has a great feel. Lots of nice improv by all involved.

Hi Richard -- I just came back to Salty Dog Rag after seeing what a terrific job Doyle Dykes, Richard Smith and Pat Bergeson did in the recent Chet Tribute by Gretch. It was a pleasure hearing your post, too! Great job! All the best, Warren Bausert, Seaford, NY (Not enough thumb pickers 'round these parts)

Thank you, Sir. I appreciate you taking the time to listen and comment. Doyle, along with Richard Smith and Pat Bergeson, are always a pleasure to hear play. Doyle and I played Salty Dog Rag together a few weeks ago when he was in these parts. He's a great guy and an unbelievable player.

Thank you for the kind words.

Richard
