Polka Medley

Postby Toni » Thu Jan 24, 2013 9:38 pm

My friend and I are preparing a gig with two guitars, so we made a recording info.Merle Travis - Beer Barrel Polka, Doc Watson - Guitar Polka and Chet Atkins - Waram Patat versions we are connected to one mix that I called Polka Medley.
Electric and acoustic guitar were played across his Fender Bandmaster and when I listened to tape seemed to me not so bad so I decided to share the tape on this forum. Thanks for the lost time to listen.

Sounds good. If you want to do Merle's more like he did try putting a light E string on for your 3rd string and tune it up a octave higher. He did that on Beer Barrel and Black Diamond Blues. It's fun to fool with. Eddie P.

Thank you for your kind words of encouragement and advice.
Jack,to me it looks more like the punching speed of light rather than commercials.I do not know anything about advertising, I just use 4shared to share and if someone responsible for it then they are.

Cool stuff, Toni! Reminds of some of the music that I used to hear at dance halls in Texas.

It was really nice but I had to look away and eventually cut it short because there was a commercial video being played of a bull-fight where the bull was trying to kill a horse and rider. Awesome playing though.
