Suggestions BIAB backing track and Fender amp live
NOOB here. What is a good way to be able to play a backing track created by BIAB along with my guitar together as a live performance. I want to use my fender deluxe amp for guitar via the reverb channel (my reverb channel has only one input jack). I assume the basic two methods would be to get the BIAB output into the amp somehow, or to send the BIAB output to some other audio equipment separate from the amp.

fire everyone except the bass player and maybe the guitarist or piano.
Keep it simple. When I had one I just used the bass player. Too many other "band" members clutter the background and drowns you
You are selling yourself, not some clever computer program
______
I think the only way you can get it to the amp is via CD unless someone else has an idea

...that's how it looks to me...The opinion expressed above is my own and does not necessarily reflect the views of this station. Your mileage may vary...

That should do it.

I know it can be done using your smart phone because I have seen people do it. You would convert your BIAB file to a compatible format (I myself do not know how its done).

Roger, I like your idea. I hadn't thought of it but you could export it from BIAB as an mp3 or a WAV file and then convert that to mp3. Then onto your phone!

I have a friend who uses an iPod in the same way as the phone for playing his backup music. I thought it worked very effectively.

I'm going to start with exporting a WAV file from BIAB and then make a CD from that. Then I can play along with the CD. AShampoo can make the CD. The Wav file will be useful later if I want to make a utube video (if I live long enough), however I'm not sure of all the pieces required to get everything into a utube video. I use Audacity to slow down and listen to MP3s from utube and that possibly can be used in the process. So far have resisted the ipods and smart phones.
Here is a link that describes the outputs possible from BIAB

Thanks for the help.

Re: Suggestions BIAB backing track and Fender amp live
Years ago - in the early 90's - a guy at the C.A.A.S. gave a BIAB demo and used his computer and I think he had a jack cord out from his computer directly into a PA system or an aux jack in an amp. It was a nice set up to test your BIAB backing tracks but probably cumbersome for a gig or making a video. I usually generate CDs for a portable CD player or MP3 files for an MP3 player and plug it into the AUX IN jack on my little Fender 15R amp. It's fun to do that and have a backing band for some Ventures and Shadows songs. There are several web sites with BIAB files already created if you GOOGLE free BIAB files. Hope you have a lot of fun with it.
Here are some links I found that are still good. The last of them in the list is the Ohio Fingerstyle Guitar pickers club
