Hello all, So ive been researching and looking for a good acoustic guitar pickup system, and what I have found and am currently using in both my guitars is working excellent, but the fact is it could be improved upon.

I cant believe it would be that difficult. The Vics system I use is great, but I would like to have independent piezo and Microphone controls, not just a mic volume and master. But other than a AP5 or AP5 pro there is nothing else. Does anyone have an Idea how a person could make a system like that? I have a friend that is good with electronics, but I'm not sure if its possible to mod this system or rebuild a better system. Any suggestions guys? Btw If you are looking for an excellent affordable pickup system this is it! I've got them installed on both my guitars.

Jon, There is a preamp schematic for piezo and microphone with blend control in the Musical Instrument Makers Forum (MIMF) library of archived discussions. You have to join MIMF (it's free) to have access to the library there, but it is worth the trouble. www.mimf.com
