Gretsch Rancher with Bigsby

As anyone played or tried out the new Gretsch Rancher with the pickup and bigsby? I have a 2010 Gretsch CG and a 5120 Electromatic. I wondered about the Rancher as an addition.

I figure Broadway Sound will bring one to CAAS but want some input before going.

Not sure, but I don't think Broadway Sound deals in instruments anymore. Their website shows them as only audio/video sales and installation and their Facebook page appears inactive.

Look it up on Utube as there are a few videos of guys playing the new Rancher. It sounds good and I'm thinking of upgrading my acoustic for one.

Regards
Mike

I am also concerned with what Craig posted about Broadway Sound. If they are not there selling Gretsch guitars who will fill the void?

As for the Rancher I am considering trading my Taylor CE414 for it as the neck on the Taylor is a little large for me. It has about the same stats as the CG but I can handle the CG much easier than the Taylor. I don't play an acoustic very much.

Assuming you are talking about the new 5034TFT (Rancher with pickup and Bigsby with Chet/Wire-Arm).... There have been a couple of reviews on this model over on the Gretsch Pages (GDP). Most of the folks there are generally positive and enthusiastic about new Gretsch models. However, comments from those who have actually played this model have been disappointed. Accoustically, they say it sounds dull and thin. They also say it is heavy, and there may be some quality issues....

On the other hand, this thread has some more positive comments:
