question re.: Kirk Sand Mahogany Model

I recently acquired this model. I really love the guitar. I was wondering if the string height/action can be lowered? and how it is done with this type of saddle and is it something I can do myself? Thanks for your help.

Yes. Generally Kirk sets up the saddle with shims, which can be removed to adjust the string height.
Best thing to do is call Kirk (you can find his site under Kirk Sand Guitars, the phone number is listed), and I'm sure he will be happy to guide you on how to do this.
