Thanks guys, it has been a great 1st day with the guitar.

Ha I got up this morning with an ache in my right arm, I thought "oh no the new guitar is messing up my arm". Then I realized, the ache was coming from exactly where I got my flu shot yesterday, and they had told me my arm would be sore....

Without any real experimentation, I went ahead and recorded a 45 second audio clip, straight into Garageband, thought I'd share it, please excuse the unevenness, I am still getting used to this (great) neck...

That's a sweet sound, and you're handling it very well.

Chuck,
Great clip and a beautiful guitar! Sounds just like it should! Congrats!
Just got one myself and I am really enjoying it.
Just curious, what kind of amp are you using on this clip. I like your sound on that.
Thanks for posting.

Thanks Richard, Ray, Senojnad and Greg (and everyone else on this thread in prior posts). This guitar is an inspiration. You already know that.

Greg, I am fortunate enough to own a Fender DRRI, but for this recording I actually went direct to Garageband (via an Apogee One interface). Added just a touch of the Garageband "stock' reverb. That is obviously just a starting point, a slight bit of echo/delay is probably the next thing I'll experiment with. Thanks guys. Chuck S.

Chuck,
Congratulations and great choice on the guitar. I love mine for sure. Your test sounded great and I'd love to know the title because I forgot what it is. My hands aren't too big and I've learned to handle the scale length no problem. It's really nice in the upper frets to have the exta room - so you strech a little in the first few postions and then relax in the upper registers. I look forward to hearing some more from you.

Hi, I love the sound of your 6122 - 1959. It sounds great. What is the name of the tune that your playing? My old timers disease is kicking in and I can't put a title to the tune.

Enjoy that wonderful guitar

Thanks Tom,

I am pretty sure it is called "'Deed I Do". This is (for me) the easier part of it. Tommy Emmanuel often includes this part when he does his longer Chet medleys, at least in the times I've seen him.
