On Wildwood flower Chet does this roll in C chord and it sounds really cool, Ive been working on it but i cant get the same sound he does. His left hand stays stationary while his right hand does the roll can anybody show me how to do that? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rltEI9PA5yo

The second series of rolls he goes from c to f to a g (closed at third fret using same fingering as an f chord) and briefly a barre at the fifth fret. Even that takes a while to get to go smoothly but its doable

This is where having Tabledit comes in handy so you can see it all laid out. Drove me nuts too until I saw it done there.

Pa Cobble did that roll in the C chord about as well as anyone. It's basically a full 6 string C chord in the first position. It starts with an open 6th string with a hammer on at the 3rd fret and then just rolls on through, ending on the 2nd string.

Like Jethro once said...

"Keep huntin'...it's on there someplace" :)

Between Tabledit and YouTube you should find the solution.
