Hey guys
Just discovered the changes to the Gretsch website and I need help. Can anyone tell me the name of the tuners that come (or came) on the 1959-6122? The website now shows the stairstep type like came on the Nashville Classic Model (which I realize is the same basic guitar) but mine (a 2008 model), has the LARGER butter bean shaped keys which I greatly prefer. Are they called "Rotomatic"?
Re: Tuning Key Help PLEASE
I don't know why I try to give out technical information, because I am almost always wrong, but my Nashville Classic has the Imperial tuners with the stair step buttons. As I understand it, all but the very last of the NC production had the stair steps until the change was made to the rounder buttons. I believe all of the new Country Gentleman production has the round buttons. Gretsch has just updated their website and the stair step reference is probably an old pic of an NC and not accurate for the current production. Bugs are still being worked out on the new web design.

Thanks for you help Richard....(loved you at CAAS...again).
Do you know the "name" of the rounder keys (or buttons)? I am ordering a new guitar from Jim Triggs and I want to specifiy those.

Also. I'm pertty sure you could be able to just change the buttons you have on by just removing the old buttons and screwing the new butter bean buttons on without changing the shafts. Joe

Re: Tuning Key Help PLEASE
Already have them on my '59 Joe. I want to use the same keys on a custom made archtop the Joe Triggs is going to make for me. Thanks for your help man.
