Also, several people have asked if this is a custom or one-off guitar. No, it's the prototype for a new model. Actually, Kirk is building two of them right now. (The second one is already sold, by the way.) So, start saving your pennies...

Congrats! That's quite an achievement to have a signature model, especially from a builder as respected as Kirk!

This is a very interesting thread. Thanks for posting these photos Craig. You are describing this guitar like a proud Papa to be in anticpation of a new baby. And you should be proud!

Thanks Tom. John Knowles and Richard Smith have both seen the work in progress in KIrk's shop. I'll try to get a new blog post up tomorrow. Kirk and I have been discussing the 12th fret inlay over the weekend.
