I hope it's for sale at a good price. Just remember those guitars originally sold for about $200-$300 and they are basically a harmony with a Baldwin Prismatone pickup slapped on them. If it's more than $2,000...it's wayyyyy too much.
There was one that sold on ebay for an outlandish price......whoever bought it....wayyyyyyyyyy overpaid. Wonder if it was the same person who bought "My Brother Sings" LP for $8,000?

I bought my first used 6120 for $375.00 at Whitey Lunzar's music store in Columbus, Ohio. They sell for quite a multiple now.

Phil;

When it comes to the vintage stuff, price is all about supply and demand at the time of the sale.

Wayne, the Baldwin on eBay is the same fellow who started this topic.

What's the guitar worth and what's the Prismatone worth?-- it just doesn't seem to add up in my opinion.

Not is you can score an good used Harmony and a pickup from Sam and essentially have the same thing.

You gotta wonder how many of these things just got thrown away in the 70's and 80's... big ol Louisville slugger neck, 22.5 volt ps.... and... a nylon.

That price is a huge turn off. For that kind of money you might as well have Kirk Sand build you a brand new custom model. Keep in mind...the guitar originally sold for $199-$250. If nobody famous had ever played a Baldwin or used a Baldwin pickup, it would be just another guitar. The seller knows these guitars are in high demand. This one in particular is the smaller body style which is harder to find. A good thing it has going for it is, the neck has been reset. In order to get the action low on these guitars you gotta get the neck reset. I had the neck reset on mine and it plays great compared to when I first got it.
