Hey Fellas,
I am just throwing this out there to see if anyone is interested in buying a Hall of Fame Country Gent. I bought it from a good friend of mine who is also a Chet picker. It is still basically brand new - maybe only a handful of hours of play time. It comes with all of the paperwork and even both gold plates, one with the "Gentlman" spelling (I think that's how it was spelled). The reason I am selling it is because I already have a wine colored CG and I need the money to embark on a guitar building journey - tools are VERY expensive! I bought it from my friend for $2400 and I am looking to get $2200 plus shipping. I prefer not to deal with ebay or paypal at this point - I just don't want to eat the fees. Very nice! I would like to see Gretsch expand on the 59, It would nice if they made it the same color and wood grain as they did in 1959,and with a laquer finish, I think the poly damps the tone a little. Al
