Fender Blues Deluxe amp!!!!

So a friend who owns a music store borrowed me a what I believe is a Fender Blues Deluxe amp, I have always wanted a tube amp because they sound so great, its a tweed colored amp but its got some miles on it skuffed pretty bad and i think the speakers blown cuz it fuzzes out when you play louder notes w/out the overdrive. He said the distotion was stuck on and he had another fella fix it (which he did). But what Im wondering if he fixes the speaker (or I do it) would it be a good amp to buy (i was thinking maybe $100, or perhaps trading in my Fender Champion or something). Anywho would it be a good amp if the speaker was replaced and new tubes put it?
