Strings
Posted: Sun Jan 06, 2013 12:15 pmI found these strings by GHS that are called David Gilmore Signature strings. I got my pack on EBAY for 4 bucks. The Guages are 10,12,16p,28,38,48. exactly what Chet used in his later years. They sound great. I tried the Chet strings from Gretsch but didn't like them. For a long time I have been using D'Addario 115w which are fantastic strings but I was only using 3 strings out of a pack then putting on a 10, 12, and 18 wound which I would buy separately. This gives a great sound but you sure wind up with a lot of extra strings. Anyway these David Gilmore are OK. Al
