Yeah, that one will definitely need some work. Fingerboard and frets have a whole lot of wear. Might be a nice starting point for someone, though.

I read on one of the other sites that Paul Beard has a prototype Del vecchio in development. It will be interesting to see whether there is enough interest to put the guitar in to the production stage.

Buying an old one like that, which hasn't had any restoration done can turn into a real 'money pit'. I've fixed up a couple of them myself and there's always "one more thing" that needs doing. It will be interesting to see what Paul Beard did with this new one. I'd like to see one on the market that's really well made but as you say, I just don't know if there will be enough interest to continue on with his project...I hope there is.
