Yeah, thanks. Well, it could be worse, I had about 60 years of enjoying the guitar as a player, and being unable to play doesn't keep me from continuing to listen!

Besides, I've resigned myself to the fact that it was unlikely I would be challenging Chet's position of 'Mister Guitar' anytime soon!

David, certainly wishing the best for you. I would love to have a guitar like yours, but now is not the time for me. I am sure your guitar would be in superb condition. Your price is very reasonable, especially considering the excellent condition.

David, I guess 60 years is a good amount of time, but being able to continue would be nice even if Chet's position weren't challenged. If you still have that guitar when I'm out there at the end of next week, maybe I'll be able to play it a little?

I had Gibson CEC for sale about six years ago that was made in 1983 I think. I had bought it new for about $900 back then and It was in excellent shape. I let it go for only $550.00 A guy from Portland Maine drove down to my home in Taunton Ma. and bought it. I even gave him an old black studded Chet Atkins guitar strap that came with a Country Gentleman guitar that I once owned. I had this guitar up for sale for the longest while. Oddly enough there just isn't much call for these nylon string Gibsons in my area.
