The Chetboard

Yamaha makes some pretty good low cost nylon string guitars. I have a Yamaha 172 SF Flamenco guitar I bought on-line for under $300 plus $60 for very good Gator case. The previous model was 171 SF with a gloss finish. My guitar looks similar to the Yamaha whichJohn McClellan used for his Prismatone II video presentation. My guitar is very lightweight, and has a unique acoustic tone at least it is pleasing to my ear and I can feel through the back of solid cypress body. The guitar is very loud and intonation is very good. I had played one in a music store a couple of times before buying. I think it would be a good guitar for a Prismatone or other acoustic pickup, and great to have around to the house to play for pure pleasure or work on a new song.
