Gretsch 6122-59 CG action
I've been installing a Sta-Tuned fixture on my Gretsch CG Bigsby. I'm getting ready to install the String-Lock, and I need to confirm the action height at the 12th fret. I know Chet ran his bass strings high, but what is considered standard or slightly above? - Thanks

Why don't you just set it to your own taste?
I think everyone does and I'm not so sure there even is a 'standard' action.'

Hi Norm,
You are right, and that's what I did sometime after I first posted. I'll let it the strings settle-in tonight and install the String-Lock tomorrow. The Bigsby already strings-up easier and works better so the String-Lock should pretty much do the trick.
Earlier today I spoke with Reynald Chaput, the engineer/guitar player who invented and manufactures the device, and he said Paul Yandell had been a great help to him in getting this on the market.

Re: Gretsch 6122-59 CG action
I've installed the Sta-Tuned fine tuner for Bigsby and String Lock on my CG 6122-59 and it works very good, well worth the expense. I've played for about 3 hours using the Bigsby often and it's still in tune.
