So sad to hear this! He was a legend and left his mark on this world with the way he made Lucille talk. He had a touch and a sound all his own.
I've never heard anything bad about him as a person. Never met him in person but as with Chet I feel like I've met him through his music. I can just about see his halo when I listen to his music.
There were some allegations that he may have been the victim of elder abuse. Whatever he may have been going through at the last, it's over now. Hopefully he's at peace now.
Legions of guitar players around the world no doubt have been impacted by the news of his passing. Long live one of the all time greats!

Yes David, you'd be interested to know that it was Jan Rooney who notified me about this on FaceBook. That's significant because it was while I was backing her up that I met you back in 1992.
