For those of you who aren't on my email list...

September 17, 2014

1. We just got in a few copies of "The Guitar Style of Jerry Reed" book. If you've been wanting to pick up a copy, get 'em while they're hot! And if you're one of the many who already have a copy, don't forget the companion CD, available only from us.

2. Five arrangements from my Acoustic Christmas book/CD (see photo) set are included in the new Christmas Songbook from Alfred Music. This hardback collection also comes with a CD.

3. Stuff from the turn of the century: We found a whole box of these (see photo) in the stock closet. I think they called them “cass-ettes”, and they're shrink wrapped in cellophane, so you know they're good! (It's the cassette version of my Christmas Time CD, just the thing for you retro types.)

If you're interested, email us at orders@craigdobbins.com. $6, USA shipping included, no questions asked.

4. If you haven’t tried an AGW download issue, here’s your chance to check out AGW Vol 17 No 1 for FREE. (Well, ALMOST free. We had to set the price for $1 for the shopping cart to work.) Just go to the AGW back issues page and click add to cart. But hurry- 48 hours only, and then it’s back to $16.95!

5. We're duplicating the AGW Vol 17 No 4 CDs right now. That's the first of the final 2 issues of AGW! If you've subscribed, you'll be receiving your issue soon. And if you haven't, do it now!

Video Time- Compare and contrast: “Eight More Miles to Louisville”

1. Sam Bush & Carl Jackson http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6m3E-xL8bnw
2. Jerry Reed http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jI8dFBxHWFY

(I love them both. And if you can find it, check out the original Grandpa Jones record, featuring Merle Travis on guitar!)
