Who's ready for CAAS 2014 ?
I'm afraid if I don't go, I'll miss out on a new lick, new guitar picker, new style, or the new friends I've met in the now sixth year as a CAAS member. My only regret is not doing it sooner, and getting to meet Chet in person. But the building is full of His music, and stories of His life told by His friends, so it's still well worth the trip to Nashville for Me. To Me You can't get that many great guitar player's together at the same time, Be it a big name or a local picker, I enjoy being a part of it. Look out Nashville here I come again.

July 9 is not coming fast enough for me! CAAS is a highlight of the year for lovers of Chet's guitar playing! It's a great time of relaxation, enjoyment, and fellowship.

You can download the form at this link. I wish I was going to be there. I used to have a great time at those conventions.

I won't be going this year, I'm taking my family to the beach and to Lancaster PA for vacation. I hope to make it next year. CAAS is one of the best things that has evolved. It's a great place to listen, pick, and meet people. One picker you don't want to miss is Rick Allred! He's really good.

I really hope to go back to CAAS in the near future, but it won't be this year. I'll be going a trip with a church group to France. Apparently, I'm expected to have a guitar with me, though. I'll throw in a Chet tune or two at some point.

Phil, as I remember, you never made it last year either. I was hoping to see you this time! Enjoy the time with your family.
Bill, it won't be the same without seeing you there! I'm sure that your trip to France will be a great experience. You can play an extra tune for Marcel Dadi!

Thanks, Rande! I guess the last time I went was in 2012, and I've definitely missed it. Maybe next year. I was thinking about Marcel, and I'm taking an old Ovation Elite that looks similar to the one that he played. Who knows, there may a couple of Marcel fans around, but if so, I hope they don't expect me to play as well as he did. Haha!
Take care,
