Yes, that was sad. I performed with his wife Jan for 2 years in the early 90's. David, you may recall that that was how I met you.

I've been in touch with her to acknowledge this but will never be able to attend any related services.

Hey Rande!
Yes, I remember meeting you at that convention that evening in Ventura, California. I couldn't believe my good fortune when you started playing, as I thought it was going to be mostly Country-Western stuff (with Jan Rooney on vocals.)
She is quite talented, but a little C&W goes a long way with me! :) I recall saying to my wife,a CHET picker, here in Southern California, hard to believe!

Are you still "snowed-in" back there in Michigan? We had 92° here today!

Regards,
David

Hey David!

Thanks for the warm memories. Yes, I was as blown away to have someone requesting "The Claw" that night as you were to discover a "Chet player". I contacted Jan Rooney to pass on my condolences.

I spent this past weekend in Nashville and am now in the Chattanooga area visiting my sister, followed by a trip to South Carolina, Kentucky, and then back home. We left snow but am expecting most of it to be gone by next weekend.

I expect to be back in your area next January. It would be nice to see you again if possible.

I hope that your health is holding up and that life is good for you.
