I definitely remember watching him sing that on his show growing up but I wonder how many here are old enough?

There was a lot of soulless drivel on TV then.So glad the music changed.Perry sang the right notes but that's all.Used to watch Lawrence Welk before going out to gig on Sat. nite I think.At 16 yrs.I met Buddy Merrell in a Newburgh NY music store(He was stationed at West Point).I made a big mistake not taking lessons from him.For a lot of young folks pride is their ruination and it was for me at that time. Gosh Ty, I couldn't disagree with you more...

I believe Perry Como had one of the most beautiful natural singing voices I've ever heard!
