update on The Paul Yandell Book Project

Getting something published is a grueling process.
You put in the hours writing, editing and organizing your material then you have to sell your idea in what’s called a “query letter.” If you can sell them on that, then they ask for a proposal. That’s where you describe your project in more detail and try to convince them that your project is worth their time.
Waiting for a response can take months. I’ve pitched to, I believe, four publishers.
The fourth one just asked to see my actual manuscript.
Paul Yandell, Second to the Best, … a Sideman’s Chronicle
Am I excited? Ooooo you bet your sweet Bippy I am!
It ain’t over ‘till it’s over but it’s looking mighty fine right now!
