I should have remembered ... It was the last anniversary my late wife and I had, too. I was playing guitar for one of the grand kids when she came into the living room to tell me about Chet. The news was not unexpected, but still heartbreaking.

I naively believed Chet would go on forever. After all he had been with me thru high school, military service, college, marriage and my children. Oddly I took my parents deaths in stride but not Chet's.

Thank you John for continuing his legacy thru your picking, books and instructions.

I agree that the news was harder on me regarding Chet than with my father. I had already experienced a false alarm of misinformation about Chet back in the early 80's. When it was finally real I went through those emotions all over again.
