Very good interview Craig, thank you. Now I got to go back to my latest AGW CD and listen to Martin's tune again.

Good stuff Craig - I stumbled across Martin's website a couple of years back and was blown away by his picking. There are some great videos including flawless renditions of The Claw and Jerry's Breakdown, and a Foggy Mountain Breakdown that is frankly jaw-dropping 8-)

There's even a free tab of the latter, but it's not for the faint-hearted (or indeed those with short fingers)....

Hope this helps him gain a bit more recognition.

I've been a big Martin fan for several years now. And note that he offers a number of free tabs at his website http://www.tallstrom.com.

Of particular interest are terrific arrangements of "Whiter Shade of Pale" (see at
youtube at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f3DLarwDOO0), "Lying Eyes" and "Forever Young" (youtube at
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-eKdrlAzWAA). And his "Twin Peaks Theme" is pretty darn interesting! (youtube
at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t_06O8XnJQo

HIs CD "Acoustics" is available at iTunes. Great stuff folks. His playing is somewhat unique also, especially his timing which is impeccable. He really needs to come to CAAS (Craig?....Mark?).

Craig, I enjoyed that interview with Martin. He got my attention some time ago when I ran across some of his arrangements on U-Tube. He's gets a good tone and has a nice touch, sorta does his own thing with a tune, I like that. I hope we hear a lot more from him in the future. . . he's sure a fine player!
