It's been documented many times how much Chet was influenced by the late Django Reinhardt. Soooo, I thought it appropriate to remind folks on this Chet Forum that one of the most influential guitarists of all time would be turning 100 this year... I'm sure there will be many tributes to him around the world this year. As a special tribute, Denison University is dedicating a FREE concert on Saturday, October 30th, 2010 - 7 pm - “HAPPY BIRTHDAY DJANGO 100 YEARS” - featuring John Jorgeson. Anyone within a couple hour drive of Granville, Ohio would be strongly advised to attend this concert. (Get there early to grab a seat - Noooooo Reservations.)
