Steve Wariner's mother passes

Postby craigdobbins » Wed Jun 20, 2012 5:32 pm

"Geneva Ilene Wariner passed away quietly in Russell Springs, Kentucky, with her family at her side after a long illness on June 19, 2012.

“It is with deep appreciation I say ‘thank you’ for all your thoughts and prayers these past several months,” said Steve. “My sweet Mother lost her battle after a long, hard fight. I found out that it is true . . . letting go is incredibly difficult! Our song, ‘Hall of Fame for Mamas,’ will bring a whole new meaning now! I will never forget you all for your kindness.”

Born in Sewellton, Kentucky, on June 3, 1933, Mrs. Wariner was a devoted wife, and a nurturing and loving mother who lived her Christian life and treasured her family."

-Steve Wariner

I'm sure your thoughts and prayers go out to Steve and family.

Real sad to hear this, and I'll certainly pray for Steve and his family. Life is never the same after you lose a parent.

RIP Geneva Ilene Wariner.
