Chet's stuff

Postby Steve Sanders » Sun May 13, 2012 8:25 pm

I know awhile back after Les Paul passed away there was an auction(s) for some of his guitars and equipment. I was wondering what happened to Chet's stuff. I assume some well deserving family and friends inherited some of the more valuable and collectible items. But I've been to enough estate sales / liquidations to know that "everything" must go somewhere. What an honor it would be to personally own something that belonged to Chet..a screwdriver, a soldering iron, or something insignificant to most folks. Just wondering? Course, me, you, and all of us here on the Chetboard already have inherited a great treasure..Chet himself! He left us more music than we can ever learn, tons of great memories, recordings, tapes, CD's, but most of all encouragement. I think we all picked a great hero!

Richard Smith has his old studio speakers now in his studio.
Pat Bergeson has some guitars as can be seen here: http://patbergeson.com/bio.html
Probably Paul's family has some stuff, too.
And I guess the majority of things still belong to Chet's family.
If it ain't got the groove, the bodies won't move.
