Great Jerry news!

Postby John C. » Thu Apr 12, 2012 11:00 am

A new CD reissue label, Real Gone Music, is releasing Jerry Reed's first 2 RCA LPs, "The Unbelievable Voice & Guitar Of..." and "Nashville Underground" as a double-play CD next month! You can pre-order through Amazon; here's the link.

I've been speaking with the label's CEO, Mr. Gordon Anderson, about issuing some of Chet's music. A quick "thank you" note might let him know how much we appreciate his efforts & lead to further releases. Here's the label's site:

Thanks,

I hope they do it right and not have recordings from the LP and they
get the actual recordings from the master tapes.
Looks like they are going the same route as One-Way...which is great!
I hope they continue with more of them and hopefully start doing Chet's missing
cd titles.

For Eddie- "And Then Came..." is one that I pitched to him. The label just released a Japan-only live LP by Glen Campbell, so it makes sense.

For Phil-It will definitely be from the master tapes; Gordon doesn't do "needle drops."

Please take a minute to drop Gordon a note & tell him how much this is appreciated. Chet & Jerry aren't exactly "easy sells" in this day of Pitbull & Lady Gaga!

Thanks,

John C.

I wish that someone would.RI "Alone". It's a long time favorite. I have it on CD but it took a long time to find a copy.
