CAAS 2012

Howdy All!

Thinking of hitting CAAS this summer but could only make it on Wednesday (7/11) then I need to head out Thursday morning. Are there any activities/concerts/clinics/folks pickin' in lobby/etc... goin on Wednesday being it the first day of the convention?

Hey Tim... The only time I ever met you was during the 1st hour of the 1st day of CAAS 2007... Here you go again! You know that players are sitting around doing there things all the time, but you also know that the official agenda doesn't start until noon... Mark and Carol never get things firmed up until days before the convention... So I can't help you ... There seems to be a pattern here.. I know nothing

And that was a great day! I can't remember that far back, but now that you mention it, John's two day workshop was indeed a day or two prior to the con and I only had one day for the convention itself! Well that pretty much decides it! YAY! RU gonna be there Ron?

Last year I felt the 1st day was by far the best as far as concerts go. Unfortunately I couldn't make it for the 1st day and intended to not attend since the best was over but ended up attending anyway.

The bad part about attending Wed only is you'd have to pay for all 4 days to do so. You can buy Sat only and Fri and Sat only, but no single day other than Sat only unless I'm mistaken. ( Wonder if that's why they had in mind when they put most of the stronger shows on Wed ?? )

I wouldn't mind seeing you on the program Tim. I've always enjoyed your you tube postings. Keep 'em coming!

Hi Tim,
You do not have to pay for all 4 days if you can only attend on Wednesday. When you get to the the registration table, get in the line for the "Walk-ins" which is in the center of the registration table. Carol is usually at that station. Just explain to her that you can only attend on Wednesday and she will decide how much that would cost. Since she is the final authority on such matters, I can't give you a definite price.

Does anybody have any idea when the schedule of performers for CAAS will be available?

Tim, this link to the C.A.A.S has a link to last year's schedule - just above the Mister Guitar newsletter cover. It was posted here shortly before the convention last year. From what I can gather, the schedule changes right up to and even during the convention. The only suggestion I have is to keep checking here for the schedule. it is usually a PDF file.
