I have no idea but the only model variants they Don't have available are a 6120 with DynaSonics or the so-called "solid body' (6121?) that was available early on in the Gretsch lineup. Of the two I'd say the 6121 would be it because they just released the latest Duane Eddy which is essentially a 6120 deeo body with DynaSonics.

A note on that. Duane asked for and got longer string pins on his model's Bigsby. Says it makes retstringing easier,

I'll never understand why they insist on hanging on to the stringpins Bigsby when Paul and others have shown straight through the mounting bar has No effect on the unit's effectiveness and greatly simplifies string changing.

Has anyone seen a price on the Duane Eddy Gretsch? Maybe Duane will be at CAAS to promote it. I have wanted him to do a regular session there for years.

Duane is in England on tour at the moment. It will probably be a few weeks before he returns. He is promoting his new album, Road Trip. The selling price would depend on the dealer, but the MSRP is $4300. You know the old saying. Nobody pays list. My guess is that it would be comparable to the CGP or the CG pricewise.

Duane is a Chet nut, just like all the rest of us. Chet is his hero and he speaks very respectfully of him, and he does so quite often. Duane is a good guy.

New Gear for CAAS 2011!

We are looking forward to seeing you at CAAS this year!

Chet Atkins will be featured at the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville, TN, for a full year starting in August, 2011. The Atkins family asked Paul Yandell and Gretsch to come up with a special guitar in honor of the display at the museum. Only 16 guitars have been made! Gretsch will have a press release coming out very soon...but we are taking orders right now! Watch the Gretsch boards for details on the guitar and call Bobby at Broadway Sound for pricing.

this is what i received from Broadway Sound in an email....... sounds interesting

Super Chet's never caught on.

6120/6122 variants will always find a buyer.

I'm really curious to know if that black 6120 with dynasonic pickups is the special guitar to be sold in honor of the Chet Atkins display at the CMHOF. It don't seem like it would be a good choice to me. I don't recall Chet ever playing one just like it, but what do I know?

I understand the new Chet guitar is an orange 6122 with open F holes designed by Paul , and only 15 were made. It will sell for under 3k.
