Jerry, that is really a nice collection. They look perfect. I wish I was able to buy them.

Thank you, Richard. I had hopes but no real idea of the magnitude of the response. These instruments reflect a lifetime of collecting. The inventory also includes a Martin D-35 and a Jose Ramirez. I tried the Ramirez, then many other acoustic classicals, only to return to the Ramirez and have my way with the owner (my instructor). The Martin I bought from him new. The Gretsch I bought from him via consignment almost 40 years ago. The two Gibsons were owned by the same pleasant man in North Carolina. I miss Hugh.

I already miss these guitars; they are family.

Jerry, that's a nice collection and someone will get some nice guitars. I have played two of those, the CE and Studio CE when the previous owner had them. Would you share with us how you came by the rusty 'ole pickup?

Hi Ronnie and all,

Thank you for your comment.

The old truck is a 1950 Chevrolet 3100 which belonged to my cousin's husband in Virginia. It had belonged to his dad and sat for many years at his father-in-law's house in Haymarket, next to Gainesville. I took a tractor there for my uncle (that father-in-law) and had an empty trailer that the truck took a liking to. I know better than to use a preposition that way but feel it's pretentious. I had moved the truck to a different parking location one afternoon and noticed at one position the light was grand. The inspiration of the photo of the Chet guitars hit me.

Thank you for the query and for the long friendship.
