Hey Guys,
I wouldn't be really super concerned about getting a truss rod put in. I know Chet did it with his, but I sent my DV to Kirk Sand to rework and he didn't think it needed a truss rod. I have had mine strung with steel trebles and nylon basses and I have not noticed any neck movement at all. Although mine has a strange reinforcing wood in the neck - kind of like the rosewood piece they put in strat necks. Thankfully the neck angle on mine was ok and didn't need to be reset. Kirk just refretted it, fixed a few cracks, and also put a radius in the fingerboard. It's one the coolest sounding guitars - I will never part with it. Except I am still working on the saddle to get the intonation right - the G is pretty sharp and makes it very annoying some times. But a good compensated saddle should fix the problem, I just haven't gotten around to it.
