I broke out my camera for the morning session, and saw Michael Coppola, Bob Saxton, Lindsey Short, and Ben Owens play. They were all great.

Michael was playing his 9-string guitar. He explained how it worked, with additional 3 octave strings between the regular D and A string. His explanation made sense in theory...but he let me play that guitar a few years ago, and I was lost! I don't know how he gets all that great music out of that thing, but he does.

Lindsey Short, with Bob Saxton playing along, did a great set. She dug into the thumb and played some great Chet stuff, sang a few tunes, and also played banjo. She just keeps getting better. Bob also keeps getting better, and provided great backup and lead. I think Bob knows every song every written.

Ben Owens played a great set as well. I wish I could play as fast and clean as him. He did some very nice original material.

Thank you George for the pics.
Is the Hall of Fame Guitar a one of a kind or will Gretsch sell it (is there a price tag)?

Glad to see the pics of Lindsey Short. She is coming along very nicely with her guitar playing.

Michael, there are either 15 or 16 of the HOF guitars being built. I think Broadway Sound has/had 4 of them at the convention. I'm not sure where the others are.
