OT: Classical text for a switch...
Posted: Wed May 18, 2011 12:39 amI found the Complete Idiots Guide to Classical Guitar at my local Barnes and Noble and it's a great book/cd combo for $24.99!
There are 30 compositions, most you will know all played on two cd's. They also include a little "TnT: Tone and Tempo changer" piece of software for slowing things down and changing tempo if needed.
All is in both notation and tab and there are many tunes you'll enjoy playing.
Amazingly, after years of Reed and Atkins, some classical tunes that used to be hard for me to finger properly or play aren't that difficult anymore....'course I'm not playing 'em like a classical guitarist would but there are some great melody ideas and passages that fit nicely into other stuff.
