Long time CAAS attendees may well remember Dimitri playing as a featured artist at CAAS in the early 2000's. An extraordinary guitar player and individual with a unique work history.... music to the movies. Here's his recent obituary as posted in the Daytona Beach newspaper where he lived the last few years.

Here's Dimitri playing an original tune at CAAS in, I believe, 2002 which was perhaps the last year he attended given his movie career that started to pickup. Mark Pritcher and Pat Kirtley could provide more info re. his CAAS attendance.
But, from professionally educated classical guitarist to this!! wow...

And here's an interesting video of him helping advertise a thumbpick from Strum & Comfort:

But regardless of his huge guitar talent, his acting career in both movies and on TV was significant. Here's
the Wikipedia bio that outlines his career and life:

Living in DeLand, Fl where he attended Stetson Un. and, like him, an FSU graduate, I had long talk with Dimitri at CAAS in about 02. In short, an absolutely terrific guy who, even though he was both a superb guitarist and aspiring movie star, he was really down to earth and friendly. Alas, now gone at way too young an age.
