This was new to me also! It was interesting to me that he referred to "CGP" as meaning "Country Guitar Player" this time and other times I've heard him say it was "Certified".

He sure is our hero. Always has been! (Since we were kids!)

The thing about Chet is definitely his humility. He was so self effacing. He seemed genuinely surprised and humbled by his success. It’s almost like he couldn’t see in his own playing what we all see.

FYI,
This interview was taken from a set of Ralph Emery's titled "Emery's Memories" The front of the set appears at the beginning. The set consists of 46 CD's and 2 DVD's. I was fortunate to acquire the set and just played the Chet interview. It is on disc # 24 of the set. A very nice interview indeed. Thanks for posting it, as I had forgotten that I had the set.

If "Jere" is Jere Uncapher, I've known about you for nearly 3 decades! You had the record for having the largest collection of Chet recordings. I haven't heard from or about you for years! Nice to "see you" hear!
