Pandora radio

Someone who visits the chetboard told us about this specialized web radio site. I set up a Chet Atkins station for myself which I like but has anyone else noticed when it plays a Chet Atkins song it gives the bio of the Carter family and sisters with Chet as a side note within that. I'm surprised they don't have a brief biography of Chet himself. It does when it plays Merle Travis, Doc Watson or Jimmy Bryant etc.

Rich, I've used Pandora since late 2007 and I know what you mean. It is automated and "semi-intelligent" but I don't
know what algorithm it uses to match up artists with a particular musical style. When it chooses one, then it tries to
find background info to match that. Why it would leave out Chet's details, I'm not sure?

What I've noticed is that when it's Chet's name only on a song, e.g. Galloping Guitar it does the Carter Family bio for Chet. When it's Chet and say Tommy Emmanuel it does the Chet Atkins bio. I'll try to send them a message about that.
