Update: I talked to a guy today, a bass player who also plays guitar, and he told me these things are need still available in better music stores.
Have to admit, this one slipped by my radar.

This came up quite a while back, but Chet didn't use it for very long. Apparently, it wasn't all that great a thing, otherwise we would have been hearing more about it, and Chet would have used it more. I guess a person might want one for their Chet collection, but that's probably the only reason. At least, that's kind of the way I read it.

If I ever got one, I think I'd want it for utilitarian purposes. I'm always interested in better ways to facilitate my fingertips glding more easily and noiselessly across the strings.
