To purchase, you click on the ‘Buy eBook’ button, get shuttled to another site where you input your charge card number, and they send you a link to download the book. The pdf you receive requires your Mel Bay website password whenever you wish to open the document. It only takes a few minutes (and a few dollars...) It takes a little time to understand what is and isn't possible with an 'eBook.' It’s possible to print individual pages from the pdf’s, but, from what I can tell, it’s not possible to extract sections of the book as pdf's.

I love these books and it’s great to be able to carry them wherever I have my laptop. It’s even possible to look at these books on my iPad, using a pdf reader app, such as ReaddleDocs for iPad app. You drag and drop the pdf’s to your iPad via iTunes, and you’re able to open them up, with the minor inconvenience of entering the document password. Great books, now more portable than ever!
