Lenny Breau technique question

Postby George Beasley » Wed Dec 29, 2010 11:26 pm

On Lenny's version of "It Could Happen To You", from "The Legendary Lenny Breau...Now!" album, is he using classical tremolo or Flamenco rasguedo on the opening chords?

Thanks for the help.
Thanks,
George

Hi George,
I haven't listened to that track for a while ( must put it on my iTunes).

From memory, I think he's playing a very fast arpeggio; probably using 4 fingers

He's not using rasgueado for sure.

Thanks guys. I figured he was doing it with four fingers....but wow, it is fast and very hard to catch all those strings every time. I've been faking it using my index finger to rake the strings, and my thumb for the low note, but the articulation is definitely missing.

Chalk that up as something else I can work on for the rest of my life.
Thanks,
George
