I super glued some tissue paper to the end of the nail with two coats of glue. Once all was dry, I lightly filed the repaired nail smooth. Next I applied two coats of OPI Nail Envy Nail Strengthener. I use the matte finish so that I don't have a glossy/shiny look. This usually holds up well for me until the nail grows out beyond the tear and I can file it down.
