Hey, found these uploads today. Never heard them before. Unfortunately no information on year, location/radio stadion. However, they sound old. I guess early 50's

Dad and I used to play "My Blue Heaven" but I never knew that Chet did it. You can really hear the influence of Les and Django! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g2vYd40_vIA

These are ripped from the Chet Atkins Radio Transcription Recordings playlist that a guy from Japan posted a few years ago on Mixcloud.

Thanks for the link. Do you know during which time span these recordings were made?

I think these are from the late 40's'; probably between 1946 and 1950.

Re: Old radio recordings on Youtube
From the sound and arrangement of these recordings I would say they are made between 1949 and 1955. They sound so much like the recordings on the five-CD-collection The Early Years 1946-1956. Arkansas Traveller is on CD-E (1955) and Rainbow is on CD-B (1951). He is probably playing his D´Angelico from that period on most of the recordings. Humoresque is not included in the collection.

Re: Old radio recordings on Youtube
Jean-luc, I have used the free YTD down loader in the past and it has worked well. It will convert the downloaded files to .MP3 files, too. I stopped using that one because the last time I downloaded an update to it, I started getting warnings from my internet security software about ADWARE on my system. I then started using KEEPVID and that worked well. I haven't downloaded in a long time, though, so I don't know if that is still good or not. Here is an article from PC Magazine about some of the available free down loaders and those with a cost. I hope this helps you.
Take care,
Ray
