He dies on 30 December after a traffic accident. He was 75 years old. He was a true bass legend and played on thousands of records. RIP
"Renowned bass player Henry Strzelecki died Tuesday (Dec. 30) in Nashville after being struck by a car. He was 75. In addition to playing on such classics as Bob Dylan’s “Blonde on Blonde,” Roy Orbison’s “Oh Pretty Woman” and George Jones’ “He Stopped Loving Her Today,” the Birmingham, Alabama, native penned the novelty tune “Long Tall Texan” the Beach Boys recorded and popularized in 1964. Strzelecki recorded and toured with such guitar legends as Chet Atkins and Hank Garland. Among the wide array of other top artists on whose sessions Strzelecki played are Joan Baez, Perry Como, Flatt & Scruggs, Gordon Lightfoot, Jerry Reed, Bobby Bare, Waylon Jennings, Tom T. Hall and Larry Gatlin. A memorial service for Strzelecki will take place Jan. 17 at 2 p.m. at Pennington United Methodist Church in Nashville."

Thats so sad. He was still young and such a great bass player. Didn't think he'd go that way. Chet really admired Henry, in MAMG he has a picture of his workbench and hes got a big picture of Henry above his work bench.
