Here's some photos from the one and only time that I ever got to see and meet Jerry Reed. He did concerts at the Charley Pride Theater in Branson, MO in 1997. This particular concert was on June 2, 1997. I took the family and we stayed around for quite a while so that I could meet Jerry. He was really nice and we had a conversation about Chet.

I remember being really disappointed the first half of the show, Jerry didn't even pick up a guitar. Then the last half of the show he made it all worthwhile, all guitar instrumentals! Jerry & Mark Thorton did quite a few numbers from the "Me and Chet" & "Me and Jerry" albums. I also remember seeing Andy Williams there. Andy Williams was really there to see Jimmy Travis and to talk to him about being in his show.

Did he use a flatpick on his Tele?

He would have had to return his CGP award then ...

Sure enough Phil! I wish I had taken some close up photos. I was a little backward back then. Now days I would have got up and went down to the front to take some pictures.
