Very cool, Eddie!
Wish I had been there earlier on. I think I may have already had a touch of gray in '86.

Eddie, I remember that day very well. We were all struggling trying to make clear chords on that guitar,,,boy it was pretty 'stiff' as I recall, really set up high. Paul said, "well, that's the way Chet likes it"! He had some STRONG hands!

Yeah it surprised me. I always thought Chet had the action really low by how it sounded so easy when he played.

I was trying to play one of his tunes and I was like "man this thing is tough to play"!

That looks kind of like Mark O'Connor behind you on the left.

Yeah it does. Never noticed that before. I can't remember if he was there or not.

It was a different kind of gathering then. You could get to know most everyone. Was about 100 people I am guessing,

We started going to CAAS in 1992 when it was at the Marriott. Chet would be around. Chet was coming out of the stage room as my wife was going in and they had a nice bump. Chet and Mark O'connor sat right behind me once and I did the polite thing and just minded my own business. It was alot smaller back then and all of a sudden it grew.

I was there that day and played Chet's Country Gentleman and the Phasor guitar. Never will forget that day!
