John,
Is Steve Wariner's award on display too? I'll have to look for your award next time that I visit the display.

Chuck, Steve's CGP award is there also. Steve's award looks like a gold record, mine is a framed proclamation and Tommy's is a green marble sculpture. They are all together in one of the exhibit cases. It would be easy to overlook them as a group because they don't look alike. John

David Wolfram,
I just wanted to tell you that I really enjoyed your article about Chet's CGP diploma in the latest issue of "Mister Guitar" (Issue 80)!

Thanks Chuck,
I enjoyed writing it. It brought back some old memories. Also, I haven't received my issue #80 yet to see where my name got changed. Ha!
Kindest Regards,
David

David,
So sorry, I guess it got changed somewhere between my head and my typing! The magazine has your name correct! (I also just corrected my mistake in my last post.)

Re: Chet's CGP Degree
I'm on the road now ( as a truck driver, not as a guitar player ) but looking forward to reading about it in #80 when I get home. Thanks David for sharing the story with us. I'm sure it will be an interesting read.

Re: Chet's CGP Degree
Thanks Bill,
I hope it is a good read for you. If it wasn't for your post I may never have known about the diploma. Unfortunaltely the article was edited to fill a single page so the flow is missing but you'll still get the main facts. I regret taking so long to make the document. I'm sure Chet would have gotten a kick out of displaying it on a wall in his office. He received it at the worst time when he was recovering from cancer surgery and maybe undergoing radiation treatments. But let me count my blessings.
Regards,
David
